Nidhi Misra, MS has extensive experience in Project
Management in the IS/IT arena, is a former member of the OP3 Project team, and now leads her own project consulting firm.
Registration
Deadline
If you register at least one week prior to the start date, your registration fee will be $15.00. If you register within a week of the term start date, your registration fee will be $25.00.
What
you can expect
We
will be using interactive feedback, examples from your work environment
and practice as our main tools for learning in this course. This course
is a 'workshop' that depends on your participation, your constructive
comments, and suggestions.
You will select a Model Project from your work environment and use it
to learn the concepts of earned value analysis. Each week you will learn
a concept and apply it to your Model Project which you will submit as
the assignment.
You
will learn the how to create a work breakdown structure, perform make/buy
analysis, create plans, schedules, estimates and set baseline, monitor
performance and create status reports, all using the concepts of Earned
Value. In addition, you will be introduced to the concepts of Critical
Chain and Program Management.
You
will learn how to calculate Earned Value, Variances and CPI. You will
also learn application of critical chain concept to your project. Each
lesson will have an assignment except for the last one. There will be
final examination at the end of the course.

Requirements
You
will need a major word processing program such as Microsoft Word for
